It's Ad-of-control

Made for GMTK Jam 2020 'out of control' 

Match as many colours as you can using W,A,S,D.
Close the ad popups by clicking the 'X'

Forgive me - if anyone plays this I hope you get the gist, time was limited.
The design in mind was that the player's followed a link to a web game and upon clicking play you lose the ability to close your browser and get bombarded with more and more ads.

Future features

• Penalization for clicking the image of an ad (screen shake, etc.)
• The game colours change location
• The the ads behave more manic as time continues
• Some kind of audio
• Screen effects

Know issues

• The 'X' to close ads renders behind the ad images (!?)
• The timer/game does not stop when the player loses
• No way to pause or exit the game
